Room air cleaners certified through the AHAM Verifide® program have been tested by an independent laboratory to ensure the product will perform to the manufacturer’s product claims for the suggested room size to reduce tobacco smoke, dust and pollen.
The AHAM Verifide® mark can be found on the front of the product packaging of room air cleaners. In addition, AHAM Verifide® room air cleaners also have a label with more information on the side of the product packaging. This label will display the unit’s independently verified CADR values for tobacco smoke, dust and pollen. The label also shows the suggested room size for a particular model and will indicate if the unit has undergone energy testing.
In addition to testing the air cleaners when they are first introduced into the marketplace, all air cleaners in the AHAM Verifide® program are re-tested periodically to ensure that the performance stays the same over time.
